Getting the bikes ready involved a bit of work. Both rims on both bikes had been previously bent so I had them straightened and had new Metzeler Z6's mounted. I installed new brakes lines, front calipers and pads on the 'S and new progressive fork springs and a rear shock on the 'K. Getting those fork caps back on was painful. The ignition problems I had been having on the 'K did not recur, but to be safe I carried a spare ignition module with me.
