Ian and I, taking different routes, arrived in Deals Gap within 20 minutes of one another. On the North Carolina side of the Gap, which they call "The Dragon", is the Deals Gap motorcycle resort. A very spartan, extremely cool, exclusively motorcycle-oriented motel where you can roll your bike up to your room door. We were next to a bunch of crazy Canadians who had brought a load of bikes down from Toronto in the trailer to the right.
