A while back some of you boating types were talking about the effect of ethanol on boat gas tanks. Here's a site that lists gas stations that sell ethanol-free gasoline by state:

the problem isn't even the fiberglass fuel tanks on boats but any older equipment
that the fuel system is not designed for ethanol.

ethanol will dissolve older fuel lines, plastic carburetor parts, rubber "O" rings etc.

I resorted to buying the marine grade fuel line that is alcohol rated, and using it for my older cars.

at the time of the change over a few years ago. most of the automotive fuel line you could buy would not hold up to the ethanol.
but stores were still selling it, so that was a real problem.

we've got beyond most these problems

basic problem we have now is the ethanol fuel will absorb water from the air and start breaking down in about a month
so it's real important to use the fuel and not let it sit. -

over the winter I store all lawn equipment empty and any left over boat gas I use in my truck.

so over all I've taken care of ethanol related problems with my toys.
