This months Motorcycle Consumer News had a mail in question about using small amounts of Marvel Mystery Oil in gasoline to lubricate fuel system parts and help keep the fuel stabilized.

But what caught my attention was the mention that it also may help prevent gastank corrosion, which immediately made me think of Duncan's boat.

Thoughts on this?

After thinking about it, it almost seems stupid obvious--yes.

But then thinking beyond what seems obvious at first--the question would be--would a thin/light/constant coating of marvel (as carried in the fuel and then deposited on tank walls via evaporation and fuel drawdown) make enough of a meaningful coating on exposed tank walls to help prevent corrosion?

Seems to me that if it made a difference it would be a small difference. Or add it to your full tank and then rock your boat around once in a while during the off-season to slosh it around in there. Your wife and neighbors will think you're crazy, but I think we're past that already anyway.
