We are now experiencing our first commercial power outage in about 1.5 years. The Generac LP powered 15Kw
standby generator kicked in within 45 seconds and we've been running flawlessly on generator power ever since.
No beeping UPS's. (our UPS's can only keep us online for an hour.)
No crashed servers.
No angry customers.
And I'm sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee enjoying the comforts of my AC.

11:03AM Update - 5 hours 22 minutes on generator
We had a 9 year old UPS fail that was powering vetsclub. I heard a clicking noise which I didn't realize until too late was the sound of the UPS going online and then offline repeatedly eventually depleting the battery.
Since this UPS was a fully on-line UPS, I'm guessing it has some hardware problem. Fully online UPSs are far more tolerant of changes in line condition. The other UPSs on the network are running fine on the generator power (even the cheap cyberpower UPSs are doing fine, which was not expected).
